In this role, you will take responsibility for our Linux environment, support the stable operation of our platforms, and contribute ideas for the automation and continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

Your tasks

  • Operation, administration, and continuous improvement of our Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian)
  • Ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of our infrastructure
  • Managing and optimizing our on-premises and cloud environments
  • Automating recurring tasks and operational processes through scripting
  • Developing and enhancing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
  • Analyzing and sustainably resolving system incidents and disruptions
  • Supporting deployment processes and the provisioning of test and production environments
  • Contributing to IT security initiatives, including patch management, access control, and system hardening
  • Supporting Windows administration as a secondary point of contact for troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration
  • Collaborating closely with software development and other cross-functional teams

Your profile

  • Several years of experience in Linux system administration
  • Solid knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, proxies, and NetApp (ONTAP)
  • Experience with shell scripting (e.g., Bash)
  • Knowledge of Docker hosting, image management, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, as well as backup and recovery concepts
  • Experience with virtualization technologies or cloud infrastructures
  • A structured and self-reliant working style, with a passion for analyzing and sustainably resolving technical challenges
  • Basic knowledge of Windows administration or practical experience working with Windows environments, along with the willingness to support the team in Windows operations when needed
  • Excellent German or English language skills, along with a good command of the other language
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps environments
  • Knowledge of VMware, Veeam, or high-availability environments
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Check Point, and ExtremeCloud
  • Active Directory administration skills
  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., MedTech, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals)
